I've worked only weekends for so long that it seems odd to be home on a weekend without playing hookey! I love my new job but have to admit, the five-days-in-a-row thing will take some getting used to! When the alarm sounds on Wednesday, all I can think is "SRSLY??? ... NOT AGAIN!" Things are going well at work, I think, and I am a bit amazed that I am capable of doing the job. I keep expecting someone to knock on my office door and escort me back to my med cart because a grave error in judgement has been made...lol. My name was posted on the Nurse Manager plaque yesterday and that tickled me beyond all belief! Simple pleasures...
The weather is chilly.... Fall is here and Winter is on it's way... UGH! The Halloween decorations are half price, turkey stuff abounds and the shelves are beginning to fill with Christmas decorations! TOO SOON! I personally boycott anything Yuletide related until after Thanksgiving..... there is a sacred order.... it must be adhered to... don't you think?

I think it's safe to assume that if your name appeared on the plaque then they didn't make a mistake. ;)
I have to do my holiday shopping early because I have to get things sent out to people since - especially this year - none of the family live near to us. Also, I make some things that I give people. Every time I've left it and sent the stuff in December it's either not arrived until late in to January, or gotten lost (even when sent recorded delivery). But I wont do anything decoration related, put on holiday music, etc, before December begins.
Then you are okay in my book. There's a difference between being prepared and rushing the season!
